The Duquesne volleyball team dropped both matches in the second day of the Delaware Invitational Saturday afternoon. The opening match against Delaware resulted in a 3-2 loss and the Dukes fell to Miami 3-1 in their final game of the weekend.

Abbie Trzeciak led Duquesne with15 kills and a .400 hitting percentage. Maddie Bazelak followed with 14 kills, and Dani Suiter had a match-high 49 assists as the Dukes would compete through five sets before falling to Delaware by a final score of 3-2.
MIAMI 3, DUQUESNE 1 (25-19, 24-26, 25-20, 25-1)

Maddie Bazelak (15 kills) and Molly Davet (11 kills, match-high 23 digs) would lead the way for the Dukes. However, Miami's Olga Strantzali's 21 kills would bring to a the Hurricanes to a 3-1 victory over the Dukes.

The Dukes will travel to Kingston, R.I. to open Atlantic 10 Conference play against Rhode Island, Friday night at 7:00 p.m. Duquesne will stay on the road, facing another A-10 team in Fordham on Sunday at 1 p.m.
