2016 Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Awards Release
DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Freshman Ryan Landry (Glenshaw, Pa./Shaler Area), and junior Fredrik Borenstein (Gjettum, Norway) and senior Diego Vieira (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) earned conference honors as the Atlantic 10 released its postseason awards today.
Landry, who ranks second on the team with seven points, earned a spot on the 11-man All-Rookie Team. The Shaler Area High School product, who started all eight conference matches, posted a pair of goals and added an assist in posting a team-high five points in A-10 play. Landry was one of three Dukes to earn A-10 Rookie of the Week honors this season.
Borenstein, who leads the team with nine points, and Vieira, who started all eight conference matches, both earned spots on the 11-man All-Academic Team. Borenstein is a finance major with a 3.90 GPA, while Vieira, who is majoring in integrated marketing communication, has a 3.93 GPA.
Borenstein and Vieira are the 30th and 31st Duquesne players to earn A-10 All-Academic 10 honors (52 total times) and fifth and sixth to earn the award under fourth-year head coach Chase Brooks. Landry is the 17th Duke to be named to the All-Rookie Team (sixth under Brooks).
