UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Duquesne volleyball team got back on the winning track on Friday afternoon after its 3-0 victory over Eastern Illinois in the first day of the 2012 Penn State Classic.
The scores of the sets were 25-23, 25-17, 25-18.
Allison Foschia led all players with 16 kills, while hitting .423. Sara Scheirman had a double-double of 10 kills and 11 digs. Patti Abshire had a match-best 15 digs and Mary Henry added 38 assists.
Tomorrow, the Dukes have a pair of matches - at 10:00 a.m. they take on host Penn State, currently ranked #4 by the AVCA and at 4:00 p.m. the square off against Portland.
