Duquesne's men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision at Richmond Friday evening. Simon Gomez tallied the lone Duquesne goal.

With the Dukes trailing 2-0, Gomez found the back of the net in the 43rd minute to cut the deficit in half. However, a Spiders goal in the 69th minute put the game out of reach.

DU outscored Richmond, 23-14, including an 18-4 advantage in the second half and had a 5-1 edge in corner kicks. Gomez and Joshua Patterson each fired six shots.

The Dukes return to action on Sunday, Nov. 6 as they travel to George Washington for their regular season finale at 1:00 pm.
