Mark Sikora Named Assistant Coach

Duquesne University men's soccer coach Jake Ouimet recently named Mark Sikora as his assistant coach. Sikora was the head coach at Mercyhurst North East for the past four seasons.

Mercyhurst North East, Sikora's teams posted an overall record of 34-33-1 with its best season being in 2007 when the Saints finished with an 11-7 record. His teams qualified for the post season all four years. Sikora, a native of Erie Pennsylvania, has also coached for the Erie Admirals and Erie United soccer clubs.

Sikora has a bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where he played for the nationally ranked Panthers. Sikora led the Panthers in scoring his senior year and played in every game during his college career. Also during his senior season in 2001, Sikora was named Big East Player of the Week and Soccer America Team of the Week. He has since earned a Masters in Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University; Erie Campus in 2006.
