St. Bonaventure, N.Y. - Duquesne sophomore Gustavo Villares's Flight C Singles Championship led the Dukes in their fall opener at this weekend's three-day St. Bonaventure Fall Classic.
Villares and freshman Mikhael Rasner each went 3-0 in singles play while sophomore Jeremy McClelland went 3-0 in doubles action. Rasner and McClelland each went 5-1 overall for the weekend.
Through the invitational, the Red and Blue were 14-4 in singles competition and 5-4 in doubles.
Next up for Duquesne are matches against Robert Morris and Carnegie-Mellon at nearby CMU's campus in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh on Friday, September 14, 2007, starting at 10:30 a.m.
