Duquesne's wrestling team split their first two dual matches, defeating American International, 29-15 and falling to Clarion, 21-18, Sunday afternoon at the A.J. Palumbo Center.
Junior Cody Midlam and senior Jared Ricotta each picked up two wins on the day. Midlam defeated his opponents from AIC (17-3) and Clarion (8-2) while Ricotta won against AIC, 5-1 and pinned his Clarion opponent in 1:02.
The Dukes travel to West Virginia on Friday, Dec. 15 for an 8:00 pm match before returning home next Sunday, Dec. 17 to host Pitt and Appalachian State.
