Coraopolis, Pa. - Duquesne freshman Mike Hartman (Shaler, PA / Shaler) shot a school record and tournament-low 66 Tuesday to capture the individual title at Robert Morris' 12th Annual Crowne Plaza Colonial Classic at Montour Heights Country Club.
Hartman's two-day total of 139 was good for a four-stroke victory.
The Dukes, who where sixth heading into the final round, cut four strokes from Monday's mark to finish fifth in the 11-team event. DU was one stroke shy of fourth place Toronto (607) and four ahead of Niagara. St. Bonaventure took the team crown.
Duquesne closes its fall schedule next weekend at the two-day Binghamton (NY) Tournament that begins on Saturday, October 14, 2006, at 9:00 a.m.
