Biography
Sara Slear, a 2007 Duquesne graduate, enters her first year as an assistant coach for the Duquesne University Women[apos]s Rowing team. She will be coaching primarily the women[apos]s novice crew as well as assisting with the varsity team.
Slear began her rowing career as a sophomore with the Dukes and continued to row with the Red & Blue through the spring of 2007. As a student-athlete, she earned numerous medals in various regattas including the Occoquan, Mid-Atlantics, Mid-Americans and Dad Vails. She has also earned two medals in the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships - in the women[apos]s pair event (2006) and varsity women[apos]s open four (2007). As a senior, Slear was a co-captain of the Duquesne Women[apos]s Rowing team,
The Lewisburg, Pa. native resides in Pittsburgh and works as a nurse at Allegheny General Hospital.
