  • Scored 2.082 points at Butler Area High School making him one of nine WPIAL players to accomplish that feat at the Class 6A level.
  • Joined Ethan Morton (Butler/Purdue) and Robby Carmody (Mars/Notre Dame/Mercer) as the only boys players from Butler County to reach the 2,000-point plateau.
  • Averaged 26.0 points per game and shot 55 percent from the field and 90 percent from the foul line as a senior.
  • Was named to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Class 6A Fab Five.
  • Averaged 29.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals in earning a first team spot on the Pennsylvania Sports Writers Class 6A All-State Team as a junior in helping Butler to the WPIAL semifinals.
  • Scored 49 points in a 74-71 win over Pine-Richland as a junior.

  • His father, Shelton, played forward for Robert Morris under Jarrett Durham from 1991-94. Durham is a Duquesne great who also served as DU’s men’s basketball radio analyst.
  • Shelton, who played in 91 career games for the Colonials, was part of RMU’s 1992 NCAA Tournament team.
  • His uncle, Erric Pegram, had a seven-year NFL career, including two seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers (1995 & 1996).
