Wexford, Pa. - The Duquesne university women's tennis team earned a 5-2 victory over Saint Francis on Sunday afternoon at the Oxford Athletic Club, bouncing back from an early doubles deficit with five wins in singles play. With the win, the Dukes improved to 3-3 overall this season.

After Saint Francis claimed the doubles point, the Dukes responded with a strong showing across the singles courts. Duquesne took five of six singles matches to secure the team win, including two hard-fought victories decided by tiebreakers.

At the top spot, junior Mila Badics delivered a statement win, outlasting Dasha Chichkina in a three-set battle, 6–1, 5–7, 7–6 (7–4). Senior Alexandra O'Brien followed with another key point at No. 4 singles, defeating Helena Lynn, 6–4, 7–6 (7–4), to help push the Dukes ahead.

Naomi Lalonde added a straight-sets victory at the second spot, topping Gabriela Almanza, 6–4, 6–4. Sophomore Denisse Arinez Guilartealso contributed with a 6–3, 6–3 win at No. 5 singles over Reagen Mangan. Duquesne rounded out the scoring with a default win at the final spot.
