Chang Earns Spot on Jamaica National Lacrosse Team

PITTSBURGH – Duquesne University's Tristen Chang has earned a spot on the Jamaican Senior Women's Lacrosse Team and will represent the nation at the 2025 Pan-American Women's Lacrosse Championship.

Chang, a graduate student midfielder from Melbourne, Fla., is eligible to compete for Jamaica through her father, Ernest, who was born and raised in Kingston.

"Making the Jamaican women's lacrosse team is a proud moment that connects me to my father's heritage," said Chang. "I am excited to represent Jamaica on the international stage and grateful for the support from my family, coaches and teammates in reaching this goal."

Now in her second season on the Bluff, Chang is coming off a strong 2024 campaign, recording 12 goals and nine assists for a 21-point season. The Youngstown State transfer enters her final year of collegiate eligibility with 30 career goals and 24 assists.

"We are thrilled for Tristen and her selection to Team Jamaica," said Duquesne head coach Tracy Coyne. "This has been a goal she has worked incredibly hard to achieve, and we could not be more proud of her. It is a tremendous accomplishment, and I know she will represent Jamaica with pride on the world stage."

The 2025 Pan-American Women's Lacrosse Championship will take place June 26–30 in Lake Myrtle, Florida, serving as a qualifier for the 2026 World Lacrosse Women's Championship in Japan.
