PITTSBURGH – The Duquesne women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Youngstown State Friday night at the Alpha Tennis and Fitness Center.
The Penguins (3-8) claimed all three doubles matches earning the first point of the match, then continued their roll winning four of the six singles competitions.
Daniela Latoni battled out a three-set victory in the No. 3 singles position (6-4, 3-6, 6-2) to get the Dukes on the board, then
Jasa Roka swept her opponent in the No. 6 spot by identical 6-3 scores for the other Duquesne point. The Dukes took three of the four losses in singles to three sets.
Duquesne move to 5-5 on the season and will continue its homestand tomorrow with its first Atlantic 10 match of the season against Saint Joseph's. First serve is scheduled for 4 pm.
