Delaney Rodriguez-Shaw (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow) has been named the Atlantic 10 Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week announced the league office Tuesday afternoon.

Rodriguez-Shaw totaled seven goals and added a pair of assists to help the Dukes win both of their games last week.

The Massachusetts native scored four goals and dished out two assists in the team's 19-15 win over Youngstown State. She also added three ground balls, two caused turnovers and four draw controls to her final line in the box score.

Rodriguez-Shaw scored three times to help the Dukes defeat Kent State 15-4 on Sunday. She also finished with a team-best five draw controls and chipped in a ground ball.

Rodriguez-Shaw is the first Duquesne lacrosse player to win a weekly award since
Michaela Connolly was named A-10 Player of the Week on April 13, 2021. She is the team's first A-10 Rookie of the Week since Jill Vacanti earned the honor in 2015.
Rodriguez-Shaw and the rest of the Dukes will return to play tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 23 to take on Penn State around 4 p.m. at Rooney Field.
