PHILADELPHIA - La Salle used a 13-0 second-half run to pull away to defeat Duquesne, 85-65 at Tom Gola Arena.
Marcus Weathers led three Dukes in double figures with a game-high 23 points. He was joined in double digits by freshmen
Toby Okani and
Andre Harris who scored 11 each. It was the second double-digit game this season for Okani and a season-high total for Harris
The win was La Salle's (9-14, 6-10) sixth in a row over the Dukes (7-8, 6-7) in Philadelphia.
There was one tie and five lead changes in a first half that ended with La Salle up 33-29. The two teams combined for 18 turnovers (10 by the Explorers) in an opening 20 minutes that saw neither team lead by more than six.
La Salle took an eight-point lead out of the half, before Weathers scored six unanswered points to make it 40-38.
It was then the Explorers went on a 13-0 run to take 53-38 lead on a 3-pointer and layup by Sherif Kenney. DU's
Michael Hughes picked up his second technical foul of the game during the run and was sent to the bench with 13:40 left.
David Beatty's two free throws following the technical gave La Salle its first double-digit lead at 48-38.
DU never cut the lead to less than 11 following the run.
Beatty led four La Salle players in double digits with a career high-tying 22 points.
La Salle shot 53 percent and made 11-of-21 3-point attempts to counteract a Duquesne opponent-high 22 turnovers.
Duquesne shot 39 percent including 4-of-16 from long distance and turned it over a season high-tying 17 times.
Duquesne closes out the regular season at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse on Sat., Feb. 27 vs. Rhode Island (ESPN+). Tip time is set for 7:00 p.m. (ESPN+).

NOTES
- If Saturday's Rhode Island game goes off as scheduled, the Dukes will play a 14-game Atlantic 10 schedule (the traditional schedule is 18 games). DU, which will play seven league games at home and seven on the road, will have faced all but four A-10 schools in the regular season: George Mason, Massachusetts, Saint Louis & VCU.
- La Salle has won the past six meetings in Philadelphia. DU's last win at Gola Arena was on Jan. 19, 2011 (88-71).
- Marcus Weathers' 23 points were one shy of his season high set vs. Saint Joseph's.
- Andre Harris came off the bench to score a season-high 11 points on 5-of-10 shooting.
- Toby Okani (11 points) finished with his second double-digit game of the season. He previous double-digit game was at George Washington (14 points) on Jan. 2.
- DU outscored La Salle 38-28 in the paint.
- Duquesne forced an opponent season high 22 turnovers, but tied its high for turnovers with 17 (set in the season opener vs. Little Rock). La Salle outscored DU 16-14 off turnovers.
- Duquesne's largest lead was four, the last of which came at 20-16 with 6:36 left in the first half ... La Salle's largest lead was 22, at 85-63, with :45 left ... there was one tie and five lead changes before La Salle took the lead for good on a Jack Clark dunk that made it 28-26 with 1:23 left in the first half ...
