Duquesne finished second and sixth in a field of 16 at the dual-event Golden Bear Classic at Berks Lanes in Reading, Pa. over the weekend.

Duquesne finished second in Friday's baker match event with a 3-1 record, 4,729 total and 189.2 average. On Saturday, DU went 4-1 in baker matches to earn the No. 3 seed for Sunday's championship round where the Dukes finished sixth.

On Friday, the Dukes dropped their first match to Caldwell before reeling off three-straight wins over New Jersey City, Wilmington and Kutztown.

On Saturday, DU won its first three baker matches over Coppin State, Morgan State and LIU Post, before dropping a 961-910 decision to No. 24 Adelphi. The Dukes rallied to close the day with a 1001-880 win over Chestnut Hill to earn the No. 3 seed in Sunday's championship bracket.

In Sunday's first match, Duquesne rallied from the 2-1 deficit to take a 3-2 lead only to fall in the seventh game, 213-191 to No. 19 Mount St. Mary's. DU dropped a 4-0 decision to Caldwell before closing with a 4-2 defeat at the hands of the fifth seed No. 11 ranked Saint Francis U.

Individually, sophomore Olivia Farwell was named to the First Team All-Tournament Team.

DU returns to action next weekend at the James Brown Invitational at AMF Towson Lanes in Towson, Md.
