The Duquesne women's tennis team finished their Virginia trip with one win and one loss this weekend. The Dukes were 6-1 winners over George Mason and fell 6-1 to James Madison.
DUQUESNE 6, GEORGE MASON 1
Against Mason, Kylie Isaacs and Julianne Herman were 6-3 winners at #1 doubles as were Zuzanna Stelmaszak and Laurel Shymansky at #2.
The Dukes won five of the six singles points with Isaacs, Herman, Aishwarya Kona and Sara Mitrovic all winning in straight sets. Laurel Shymansky won in three sets, including a 6-0 blanking in the decisive set.
JAMES MADISON 6, DUQUESNE 1
After winning the double point, JMU took five of the six singles points. Shymansky recorded Duquesne's only point came at #5 singles. She was a straight set winner over Dylan Owens 6-2, 7-5.
UP NEXT: Duquesne (11-6, 4-1 A-10) travel to Philadelphia to take on Fordham in a neutral site matchup on Mar. 31st.
