QUICK RECAP: Molly Davet recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 10 kills and 12 digs to lead Duquesne to a 3-0 victory over Davidson on Friday night. Mary Henry also recorded a double-double with a match-high 31 assists and a career-high 19 digs. Madelynn Burnham also had 10 kills for the Dukes. Arielle Love added nine kills and hit .333.
With the 1st set tied at 22-22, the Wildcats had back-to-back errors before a kill by Love gave the Dukes the win at 25-22.
After Duquesne doubled-up Davidson 12-6 in the 2nd set, the Dukes scored six straight points to take an 18-6 lead. Davet ended the set with a kill giving Duquesne a 25-13 lead and a 2-0 match advantage.
In the 3rd set, the Wildcats went up 19-17 before the Dukes scored eight of the next nine points to win the set 25-20 and the match 3-0.
UP NEXT: The Dukes remain on the road and will face VCU on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. The is the first match against the Rams since the Dukes defeated VCU in the 2013 Atlantic 10 Championship game.
