Duke Drop Saint Louis, 3-0

Sophomore outside hitter Dana McLaughlin led a balanced Duquesne attack with 13 kills as the Dukes upped their conference record to 2-1 with a 3-0 win over first-year Atlantic 10 member Saint Louis at the Palumbo Center on Friday night.

Senior middle hitters Diana Wuebker and Monica Tinsley as well as junior outside hitter Amanda Haeg added 11 kills each as the Dukes posted wins of 30-25, 30-26 and 31-29 in the three games.

Tinsley and McLaughlin hit at .474 and .455 respectively as Duquesne hit at .316 as a team.

Angela Powers led Saint Louis with a match-high 15 kills.

Duquesne, now 9-6 on the season, takes on Youngstown State in an non-conference match on Saturday at 7:00 at the Palumbo Center.

Saint Louis, which dropped to 7-10 overall, 1-2 in the Atlantic 10, returns to action on October 7 at George Washington.
