The Duquesne women's volleyball team ended the day with a perfect 2-0 mark taking Davidson 3-0 in the final game of the Duquesne/Robert Morris Invitational.
Sophomore Diana Wuebker led the Dukes with 11 kills and added four aces and three blocks in the win over the Wildcats.The Dukes finished in a tie for second with co-host Robert Morris with a 3-1 record.
In game one vs. Davidson, the Dukes turned around a 4-2 deficit with the help of seven-straight points, including two aces to grab an 11-5 edge. They extended their lead to a 23-13 advantage on a five-point spree before taking the 30-21 margin.
Game two was head-to-head early on as DU held a slim 10-7 margin before they out-scored the Wildcasts 11-2 for a 21-9 lead they would not relinquish. DU won game two 30-20.
Duquesne dominated game three going up 12-5 and never looking back as they captured a convincing 30-16 victory.
The Dukes defeated Saint Peter's 3-0 to begin the day.
Senior Sarah Morrow (Baytown, Texas/Robert E. Lee) and Erin Trageser (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) were voted to the all-tournament team.
The Dukes are next in action Sept. 5-6 at the Rice Invitational.
