Dr. Matthew G. Cook joined the Duquesne University Sports Medicine and Welfare Team in June of 2026. Born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, heĀ attended Duquesne University before earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
During his chiropractic education, Dr. Cook completed a Clinic Abroad rotation in Bolivia, providing chiropractic care to underserved communities. He also served as a Sports Injury Program Instructor and Teaching Assistant under Dr. Mitch Mally and completed his internship under the mentorship of Dr. Morreale, further strengthening his clinical expertise in sports medicine, rehabilitation and extremity care.
Following graduation, Dr. Cook co-founded Genesis Chiropractic and Rehabilitation before establishing Elite Sports Chiropractic and Rehabilitation (ESCR) in Wexford, Pa., where he continues to provide comprehensive chiropractic, rehabilitation, concussion, and wellness care to patients of all ages.
Dr. Cook's passion for physical medicine began after sustaining a spinal fracture as an adolescent. Throughout his own recovery, Dr. Cook developed a deep appreciation for the remarkable resilience of the human body and its ability to heal through rehabilitation, chiropractic care, and movement. That personal experience continues to inspire his commitment to helping patients of all ages recover from injury, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.
Dr. Cook resides in the close-knit community of Bradford Woods with his wife and their two sons. Outside of the office, he enjoys fitness, coaching and volunteering in sports, and spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.
Dedicated to providing the highest quality patient care, Dr. Cook is passionate about continuing his education and incorporating the latest evidence-based technologies and treatment methods while maintaining the proven principles of chiropractic care. His practice is equipped to treat patients across all stages of lifeāfrom infants to active seniorsāand a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including spinal injuries, extremity disorders, sports injuries, work-related injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and concussion-related conditions. He particularly enjoys treating athletes of all ages and skill levels, from youth and high school competitors to collegiate, professional, and recreational athletes, helping them recover from injuries, optimize performance, and safely return to the sport they love.
In addition to chiropractic and rehabilitation services, Dr. Cook incorporates regenerative and wellness-focused treatment options, including peptide therapy and medical massage therapy, when clinically appropriate. His goal is to provide individualized, evidence-informed care that supports healing, recovery, performance, and overall health.
