Jeff Brown was named the Diving Coach for the Dukes in June of 2023 and completed his second season on the Bluff in 2024-25.

At the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championships, Brown helped lead the Dukes to a bronze medal finish with a total of 525 points—the fourth-highest team score in program history. The Dukes delivered a standout performance, earning 13 podium finishes, breaking seven school records, and posting five NCAA “B” cut times. The team also tallied 42 new personal bests and added 27 entries to the program’s all-time top performances list.

Under Brown’s guidance, two divers qualified for the NCAA Diving Zones in 2025. Ashley Felitsky earned her third career qualification in the one-meter dive and, for the first time, qualified in the three-meter event. Freshman Brianne Dempsey made an immediate impact in her debut season, qualifying in the one-meter dive and posting a top score of 208.25 at the CSCAA National Invitational Championship. Felitsky also contributed a pair of top-10 finishes for Duquesne at the conference meet.

In his first season, he helped lead the Dukes to their second consecutive fourth-place finish at the 2024 Atlantic 10 Championships, where the team earned three medals. Sophomore Ashley Felitsky led the diving squad, placing fifth in the one-meter dive (six dives) with a score of 252.00. Under Brown’s guidance, Felitsky qualified for the NCAA Diving Zones in the one-meter event and secured three first-place finishes across both the one-meter and three-meter dives during the season.

Brown spent the past two years as a high school diving coach at a trio of local schools, including his alma mater Hampton, Shaler Area, and Peters Township. During his time at the high school ranks, Brown helped coach five WPIAL and two PIAA state diving championships.

A USA Diving certified coach, Brown also spends time as a coach at the Pittsburgh Diving Club. During the 2023 season, he was instrumental in the training of 11 podium finishers at the district and state high school championships. Brown served as an instructor at the University of Pittsburgh diving camp and the Community Dive Program in Shaler Township in the summer of 2022.

The Pittsburgh native was a WPIAL diving qualifier during his high school career at Hampton. Brown went on to obtain his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Calvin College in 2013, where he was also a successful competitor on the Knights swimming & diving team qualifying for the conference championship in the 1m and 3m springboard.
