Is looking to build on his first full season of basketball since 2006-07 ... missed the 2007-08 season at The Patterson School (N.C.) due to a torn meniscus in his right knee and was limited to four games as a true freshman in 2008-09 prior to undergoing season-ending knee surgery ... was cleared to begin workouts in September of 2009 following December 2008 surgery on his right knee and ended up playing in 28 games last season ... is a high-energy athlete with the ability to run the floor.


As a Redshirt Freshman (2009-10)
Saw action in 28 of 32 games with three starts in his first full season of basketball since 2006-07 ... averaged 1.3 points and 1.6 rebounds in 7.8 minutes per game ... made his first career start at then-No. 6 (AP) West Virginia ... also started back-to-back games vs. La Salle and at Charlotte in mid-February ... had a streak of 14 consecutive games played snapped on Jan. 31 vs. Saint Joseph's ... had nine points and seven rebounds in a season-high 27 minutes of a double overtime loss to Pitt ... added eight points and seven boards in 15 minutes vs. Robert Morris ... was 14-of-27 (.519) on two-point attempts and 0-of-7 from the 3-point arc .... played 20 or more minutes in a game three times ... played a total of 69 minutes in 15 Atlantic 10 games ... logged single-digit minutes in his final 17 games.

As a Freshman (2008-09)
Played in four games before his season was ended prematurely by right knee surgery on Dec. 18 ... looked to be coming around, with five points in 19 seconds at Saint Francis followed by eight points and seven rebounds in 16 minutes vs. Furman ... added five points and three boards in 12 minutes at USC Upstate and had four points and two rebounds at Duke on Nov. 28 before knee pain took its toll ... did not play in the next three games before opting for surgery ... had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Sept. 15 prior to the season.

Prep School
The Patterson School in Lenoir, N.C. (head coach Chris Chaney) ... rated as a three-star recruit by rivals.com ... did not play in 2007-08 due to a torn meniscus in his right knee ... had surgery on the knee in May of 2008 ... The Patterson School - which had seven players earn Division I scholarships (Freddy Asprilla, Florida International; Courtney Fortson, Arkansas; Nate Miles, Connecticut; Matt Simpkins, Memphis; Will Brown, New Mexico and Varez Ward, Texas in addition to Peggau) - finished 36-2 and was the No. 1 rated prep school in the country for the majority of the 2007-08 season.

High School
The Calverton School in Huntingtown, Md. (head coach Franklin Chaney) ... averaged around 23 points per game for The Calverton School in 2006-07 before enrolling at The Patterson School ... was named all-county Player of the Year and to the Washington Post All-Maryland Independent Schools Athletic League team in helping Calverton to a 19-9 record 10-2 runner-up finish in the MISAL ... the win total was the school's highest in 25 years.
