Laura Klimchock named Asst. Director for Student Services; Erik Kaminski Asst. Dir. of Multimedia Operations
Erik Kaminski joined the Duquesne staff in September 2013. He serves as the Assistant Director of Multimedia Operations.
Kaminski, who grew up in Murrysville, Pa., was the Director of New Media and Communications for the Northeast Conference from 2011 to 2013, where he oversaw the conference's digital network and assisted in coordinating its national television package. He also served as the primary contact for men's basketball and assisted with events such as the Barclays Center Classic, the Gotham Classic and Progressive Legends Classic.
Prior to working for the NEC, Kaminski was the Assistant Director for Athletic Communications at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pa. for three years, where he spent three seasons working with both Division I ice hockey teams and the men's lacrosse team that won the 2011 NCAA National Championship. He also served as the media and marketing liaison for the 2011 NCAA Women's Frozen Four hosted at Erie Insurance Arena. He also has experience in the sports information offices at both Robert Morris and Goucher College.
Kaminski is a graduate of Saint Vincent College, where he completed his undergraduate degree in communication in 2005. He added a master's in instructional leadership from Robert Morris in 2008.
