The Department of Athletics is currently accepting nominations for inductees into the Duquesne University Sports Hall of Fame. Nominees must have:
- Enrolled at Duquesne for at least one full academic year
- Competed for at least one full season in a varsity sport, and
- Completed their athletic career at Duquesne at least five years prior to nomination.
The Selection Committee will also consider nominees who have made significant contributions to Duquesne Athletics in non-athletic capacities.
Letters of nomination with the submittor's name and telephone number as well as the nominee's name, sport, years of participation and accomplishments may be faxed to Jarret Durham, Associate Athletic Director at 412-396-6210 or e-mailed to durham@duq.edu.
Nominations are due by Thursday, Dec. 12.

Willie Somerset (1962, '64-65), pictured above, is Duquesne's top scorer among those who played men's basketball for three years. Somerset, who nows lives in Delaware, was inducted in 1975.
