The Department of Athletics is currently accepting nominations for the Duquesne University Sports Hall of Fame. Criteria for evaluation of nominees to the Duquesne University Sports Hall of Fame include:
1. The nominee's degree of recognition as a Duquesne athlete with alumni and the general public;
2. The significance or stature of the nominee's accomplishments as a Duquesne athlete as determined by statistical records or the number and stature of honors and awards received;
3. Distinctive or unique accomplishments which attracted public attention or acclaim to the athlete or the University;
4. The athlete's success or prominence in life, including his/her professional career, stature in the community, and service to the University and the athletic program.
To be eligible, nominees must have been enrolled for at least one full year in either the
Prep school or one of the schools of the University; competed for at least one full season
in a sport; and completed their career at the University a minimum of five years before
the time of nomination. In addition to athletes, the Selection Committee will also
consider nominees who have made significant contributions to athletics at the University
in non-playing capacities.
