Duquesne University announced today its 2002-2003 men's and women's basketball schedules.
NCAA Tournament participant Xavier - as well as Maryland and Pitt - await second-year head coach Danny Nee and the 2002-03 Dukes. In addition, six schools which played in last year's NIT - Dayton, George Mason, Richmond, St. Bonaventure, Saint Joseph's and Temple - dot this year's schedule.
Tenth-year Head Coach Dan Durkin faces a demanding non-conference slate highlighted by home games with teams from the Big 10, Big East and SEC. Five of Duquesne's opponents advanced to post-season play last year, four of which will visit the Palumbo Center. Highlighting the home slate are bouts with Vanderbilt of the SEC and defending Atlantic 10 champion Temple. Both advanced to last year's NCAA tournament.
