Duquesne University's golf and men's and women's outdoor track and field teams are competing in the Atlantic 10 championships this weekend.
The golf squad hit the tees at 8:00 a.m. Friday morning in the 25th annual competition at the NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio in the Dayton suburbs with action continuing Saturday and Sunday in the 54-hole competition. The seventh annual Atlantic 10 Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 3-4, at Sports Backers Stadium in Richmond, VA.
Joining the Dukes in quest of the golf title are host Dayton, Fordham, George Washington, La Salle, Richmond, St. Bonaventure, defending champion Rhode Island, Saint Joseph's, Temple and Xavier. The Rams are also the defending title holders in men's and women's track and field. The Dukes will join Fordham, La Salle, Massachusetts, host Richmond, Saint Joseph's and Temple in looking to unseat Rhode Island in the men's events while Dayton, Fordham, La Salle, Massachusetts, Saint Joseph's and Temple will join Duquesne, host Richmond and Rhode Island in the women's competition.
