Washington, D.C. – Duquesne placed four student-athletes on the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track & Field All-Rookie and All-Academic Teams, the league office announced. Sylvia Kashak, Isabella Costa and Brandi Brozeski earned All-Rookie Team honors, while Rose Kuchera was named to the All-Academic Team.

Duquesne's three All-Rookie selections mark the most in program history and tied Rhode Island for the most on the women's indoor All-Rookie Team this year. Kuchera's selection extends the Dukes' streak to seven consecutive seasons with an All-Academic honoree.

Rose Kuchera (So. • Canonsburg, Pa.)
A-10 All-Academic Team
Kuchera recently became the first All-American in Duquesne women's track & field history after competing at the NCAA Indoor Championships, where she recorded a mark of 5.94 meters (19-6) to earn Second Team All-America honors in the long jump. She qualified for nationals with a program-record leap of 6.52 meters (21-4.75) at Youngstown State on Jan. 30. Owning a 4.0 GPA, Kuchera also earned Atlantic 10 Field Performer of the Week honors this season and set a program record in the triple jump (12.44m). The sophomore from Canonsburg, Pa. added top-three all-time marks at Duquesne in the pentathlon (3,694) and 60-meter hurdles (8.72). At the A-10 Indoor Championships, Kuchera scored in all three of her events, placing fourth in the triple jump, sixth in the long jump and sixth in the 60-meter hurdles. She captured three meet titles during the indoor season, including two long jump victories at Youngstown State and a triple jump title at the Penn State Sykes & Sabock Challenge.

Sylvia Kashak (Fr. • Jefferson Hills, Pa.)
A-10 All-Rookie Team
Kashak earned All-Rookie recognition after posting the top times among Atlantic 10 freshmen in both the 800 meters and 1,000 meters. The Jefferson Hills, Pa., native set a school record and claimed silver in the 1,000 meters at the A-10 Indoor Championships with a time of 2:47.00 — the first sub-2:50 performance in program history. The mark also surpassed the previous championship meet record, as the top four finishers all broke the former standard. Kashak won three meets during the indoor season and finished in the top two in all six of her individual races. She also moved into Duquesne's all-time top five in both the 800 meters and mile. Her conference-leading 800-meter time of 2:11.43 came in a first-place finish at the Youngstown State Last Chance Meet.

Isabella Costa (Fr. • Pittsburgh, Pa.)

A-10 All-Rookie Team
Costa garnered All-Rookie honors after recording the top long jump mark among Atlantic 10 freshmen. Her leap of 5.90 meters (19-4.25) at the YSU Mid-Major Invitational ranks third in program history and earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors.  At the A-10 Indoor Championships, Costa scored in three events, placing sixth in the pentathlon, seventh in the high jump and contributing to a fifth-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay.

Brandi Brozeski (Fr. • North Huntingdon, Pa.)
A-10 All-Rookie Team
Brozeski delivered a bronze medal performance in the pentathlon at the A-10 Indoor Championships. Her score of 3,526 points led all conference freshmen and extended the Dukes' streak to five consecutive indoor championships with a pentathlon medalist.
