WASHINGTON, D.C. — Duquesne University's
Hannah Seitzinger and
Rose Kuchera have each earned Atlantic 10 Conference weekly honors, with Seitzinger named Co-Track Performer of the Week and Kuchera receiving Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.
Seitzinger, a senior from Belle Vernon, Pa., set A-10-leading times in her first-place finishes in the 400m (55.17 seconds) and the 4x400m relay (3:44.25), both of which rank second in Duquesne history.
This marks Seitzinger's second career indoor Performer of the Week honor, having previously earned it in February 2024 after winning the 400m and 4x400m relay at the SPIRE meet. She joins Bethany Evankovich as one of only two Dukes to receive the award twice.
Kuchera won the triple jump at the Ashland Jud Logan Meet with a mark of 11.90m (39-0.5), the best among A-10 rookies this season and the fifth-best overall in the conference. Her performance also ranks fourth in Duquesne history and is the best by an A-10 freshman since January 2023.
A freshman from Canonsburg, Pa., Kuchera is now one of only three Dukes to earn multiple indoor Rookie of the Week honors, joining Shea McMillian and Sarah Como, who both accomplished the feat in the 2000-2001 season.
Duquesne will feature a split-squad this weekend, with competitors going to Youngstown State on Friday, the SPIRE Indoor Games on Saturday, and Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational, where Seitzinger and
Haley Hamilton will compete.
