PRINCETON, N.J. – Duquesne will host Stony Brook (Nov. 13) and Rider (Nov. 17) and make a trip to Lincoln, Neb. to face Nebraska (Nov. 22) as part of the Cornhusker Classic - a three-game round robin tournament that will take place from November 13th to November 22nd - it was announced today by the Gazelle Group.
Nebraska will also host games on November 13th vs. Rider and November 15th vs. Stony Brook, while Stony Brook will play Rider at home on November 20th to round out the schedule.
Nebraska is coming off of a 16-16 season where they defeated in state rival Creighton and swept Big Ten rival Iowa in the regular season. The Cornhuskers return star guard Keisei Tominaga while bringing in a slew of premium transfers.
Duquesne is building off a 20-13 season that culminated in a post season appearance in the CBI. Leading the Dukes on both ends of the floor, star guards
Dae Dae Grant and
Jimmy Clark III look to build on the success of last season.
Stony Brook adjusted to their new home in the Colonial Athletic Association and advanced to the second round of the conference tournament. With a strong recruiting class, headlined by Fairfield transfer Chris Maidoh and Long Island native Andre Snoddy, the Seawolves look poised to take another step forward this season.
Rider finished the 2022-23 campaign with a 16-14 overall record and a 13-7 record in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, finishing second in the regular season standings. Led by two-time MAAC Coach of the Year Kevin Baggett, the Broncos look to compete for the conference championship in 2023-24.

The Dukes are 2-1 all time vs.
Nebraska, with the last meeting coming in Pittsburgh on Dec. 6, 1971 (a 75-53 DU win) ... the two have met once in Lincoln, with the unranked Cornhuskers upsetting the No. 7 (AP) Dukes 82-77 on Dec. 9, 1969 ... it will be Duquesne's first game vs. a Big Ten team since a 73-67 loss to Penn State at PPG Paints Arena on Dec. 19, 2018 ... DU is 1-0 vs.
Rider with
a 73-61 win in the 2021-22 season opener at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse on Nov. 9, 2021 ...
Tre Williams is the only current Duke who saw action in that game which was the first played before fans at DU's new on campus home ... Rider is a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) ... this wil be Duquesne's first meeting with Colonial Athletic Association member
