Amy Read Dominates Day Three at the Buffalo Diving Invite

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Day three of the Buffalo Diving Invite proved to be graduate student Amy Read's best day yet, as she bested all other competitors to finish first in the women's platform finals. Read also took home first-place in the platform prelims. She was the only Duquesne diver to take part in the event.

In the prelims, Read had a total score 247.25, nearly a full 14 points higher than the second-place finisher. In the finals, Read's overall score of 269.00 pushed her over 32 points higher than the rest of the competitors, capping off a dominating performance.

In total, Read placed fifth in the one-meter finals on Friday, seventh in the 3m finals and first in the platform finals. In the prelims for each event, she placed second in the 1m, second in the 3m and first in the platform.

Divers from Duquesne, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Akron, Toledo, Bowling Green, Ohio and St. Bonaventure all competed over the weekend. Competition will continue on Sunday.
