PITTSBURGH – On Monday, the Duquesne women's basketball team announced game times and locations for its 13-game home schedule for the 2019-20 campaign.
Due to the renovation of the on-campus UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse, Duquesne will be playing home games at four different venues this season. The Dukes will primarily play home games at La Roche University's Kerr Fitness Center, with nine contests scheduled to be played in the North Hills. Three previously announced home games (Toledo, Saint Francis and Kennesaw State) along with six conference games, including the Atlantic 10 conference opener against Massachusetts (Jan. 4) will be played at La Roche. Additional games that will be played at La Roche include La Salle (Jan. 11), George Mason (Jan. 22), St. Bonaventure (Jan. 30), Saint Joseph's (Feb. 9), and George Washington (Feb. 22).
Duquesne will play one Atlantic 10 contest at PPG Paints Arena, with the Dukes taking on Rhode Island on Feb. 19. The game will mark the second-time the Duquesne women will play at the home of the Pittsburgh Penguins, with the Dukes hosting Kent State in the regular-season opener on Nov. 5. The matchup with Rhode Island is the first game of a doubleheader, with the Duquesne men hosting George Washington 30 minutes after the women's contest concludes.
As previously announced, the Dukes will be playing Central Connecticut State at Oakland Catholic High School on Nov. 26. That matchup will tip-off at 7:00 p.m.
In final home game of the regular season, the Dukes will battle 2019 A-10 Tournament champion and NCAA Tournament participant Fordham at Robert Morris' UPMC Events Center in Moon Township on Feb. 25 at 7:00 p.m.
The 2019-20 season marks the seventh year of the long-term television agreement between the A-10 and ESPN, CBS Sports Network and NBCSN. Atlantic 10 institutions reside in states that comprise 33.3 million television households, approximately 30 percent of the total national media market. There are nine A-10 institutions in or adjacent to the top 25 media markets in the country. All games not picked up on linear television will be streamed through the Atlantic 10's partnership with ESPN+.
