Men's Tennis Receives APR Recognition

April 13, 2016 PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne men's tennis program was recognized Wednesday by the NCAA for ranking in the top 10 percent of its sport in Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores. Public recognition is based on scores compiled through the 2014-15 academic year.

Men's tennis is the 12th DU squad to be recognized by the NCAA since the public recognition program began 11 years ago (see list below).

The NCAA will release the full APR report on April 20, which will include the multi-year rates for all Division I teams.

Each year, the NCAA honors selected Division I teams by publicly recognizing their latest multi-year NCAA Academic Progress Rate (APR). This announcement is part of the overall Division I academic reform effort and is intended to highlight teams that demonstrate a commitment to academic progress and retention of student-athletes by achieving the top APRs within their respective sports. Specifically, these teams posted multi-year APRs in the top 10 percent of all squads in each sport.
