CollegeSwimming.com Week 8 Mid-Major Top 50

Duquesne University's swimming team is ranked 49th in the most recent CollegeSwimming.com Division I national rankings dated Nov. 23rd. It is the first time in program history that Duquesne has been listed among the top 50 in the country. The Dukes also come in at ninth in the Mid-Major rankings, also a program best.

The Dukes are coming off a second place finish at Cleveland State's Magnus Cup Invitational, trailing only Akron who is currently ranked 44th nationally and sixth among mid-major schools.

Now in its 14th year, the Mid-Major rankings provide an objective point system to compare non-BCS programs and those that provide fewer than one-half of the allowable scholarships under the NCAA rules.

The Red and Blue wrap up the fall portion of their schedule on Saturday, Dec. 5 as they travel to Saint Francis for a 1:00 pm meet.
