Duquesne Athletic Fund Announces Spring Golf Outing

Feb. 25, 2014

Alumni, friends and fans are invited to take part in the 2014 Duquesne Athletic Fund Spring Golf Invitational on Monday, May 12, 2014.

The event returns to the historic Pittsburgh Field Club for a second consecutive year. One of the region's premiere courses, the Field Club's 18-hole layout in Fox Chapel was originally designed nearly a century ago by Alexander H. Findlay, known as the "father of American golf." Over the years, renowned architects including Donald Ross, A.W. Tillinghast, Emil Loeffler and Robert Trent Jones have refined the course, giving it a distinctive and challenging character.

Registration is $350 per golfer or $1,400 per foursome, including golf, apparel, lunch, on-course refreshments and awards banquet. Several sponsorship packages are available at various levels.

The Duquesne Athletic Fund ensures the financial resources Duquesne University's nearly 350 student-athletes need to prepare and perform at the highest level--in the classroom and on the fields and courts. Proceeds from this event will help to recruit, train and support 16 varsity athletic teams by providing scholarships, facilities, travel, logistics, and academic services.
