The Duquesne University Department of Athletics announced today the hiring of Nicole Imbrogno to the position of Assistant Director of Marketing and Promotions.
A native of Greensburg, Pa., Imbrogno returns home after spending two years as an athletics marketing and promotions graduate assistant at the University of Memphis. While earning a master of science in sport and leisure commerce, she was the primary marketing contact for baseball, volleyball and men's and women's soccer and assisted with game day needs for football and men's and women's basketball.
Imbrogno helped increase attendance by as much as 66 percent in the sports she handled and assisted baseball and women's soccer in setting single game attendance records. She also organized community outreach initiatives for student-athletes and coordinated the Fan Patrol, a group of student volunteers who assisted the athletic marketing department.
Prior to her stint at Memphis, the 2008 Syracuse graduate also held internship positions with Embry-Riddle, Brunner, Inc., Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Daytona Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates. She also worked as a student assistant in the Athletic Communications Department at Syracuse.
