STAR CITY, W.Va. - The Duquesne rowing team participated in a four-way event with Dayton, George Mason and West Virginia on the Monongahela River.
The Lightweight 4+ crew won a two-boat race against Atlantic 10 Conference rival Dayton, defeating the Flyers by over 27 seconds, crossing with a time of 7:01.88.
The Dukes held off WVU to take third place in the Varsity 8+ finishing in 6:40.73.
DU placed fourth in the Varsity 4+ (7:19.25), Novice 8+ (6:43.81), Second Varsity 8+ (7:08.08) and Novice 4+ (8:04.01).
Up next is the Knecht Cup in Camden, N.J. April 10-11.
