Women's Track Competes in Penn Relays

Philadelphia, Pa. - The Duquesne women's track and field team participated in a pair of events at the historic Penn Relays this past weekend. The event is the oldest and biggest track and field competition in the United States. Held in Philadelphia, Pa., the Penn Relays have been hosted annually since 1895.

The 4x400 team of Melissa Miller, Nicole McKeone, Kathleen Parker and Charlene Garth finished fourth in their heat crossing with a time of 3:57.11.

In the sprint medley, Miller, Meghan Wendelken, Garth and Parker also finished fourth in their section, finishing in 4:05.26.

This is the final meet before the Dukes head to Charlotte, N.C. for the 2009 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championship May 2-3.
