Mike Stolar Qualifies for NCAA Cross Country Championship

Junior Mike Stolar finished seventh of 197 runners at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional, leading Duquesne to an eighth place showing of 28 teams. Stolar's finish gives him an automatic entry into the NCAA Championships on Nov. 23.

Stolar finished the course in 31:55.1, followed by junior Mark Bucklaw in 29th place in 33:00.2, freshman Jim Spisak in 40th place in 33:23.7 and junior Kyle Dorman in 76th place in 34:12.5.

This marks the fifth straight year that Duquesne has finished in the top 10 at the Regional. Stolar, who was named to the All-Region team, has led Duquesne in every race this season.

The Dukes return to action on Nov. 21 as they compete in the IC4A Championship.
