Duquesne-St. Bonaventure

Feb. 25, 2006

Recap | Box Score | Notes

DUQUESNE HEAD COACH Danny Nee

On the Bonnies' last possession: "We wanted to show zone and hoped they would pull the ball out, then pick them up man-to-man. We were trying to get men on both sides of Smith, because we knew he wasn't going to pass the ball. We were hoping to semi-trap him or maybe take a charge."

On the comeback

"We just started playing smart. Making the `three's' gave us a little power, a little juice. I think the technical foul and us not boxing out on a free throw were the most important plays."

DUQUESNE GUARD Bryant McAllister

On his final shot

"I got bumped and was kind of floating. It threw my shot off. College basketball is a game of runs. We made our run and took the lead. We didn't make the plays on defense when we needed them."
