Duquesne University head men's basketball coach Ron Everhart has announced the signing of forward Jovon Moses (Brooklyn, N.Y./Genesis One (Miss.) Christian School) to a National Letter of Intent.
The 6-8, 220-pound Moses is the first signee for the 2007-08 recruiting class.
"I'm really excited to have a player like Jovon," said Everhart. "We don't have anyone quite like him right now. He's a big, strong, physical player who will give us a presence inside. He has shown steady improvement and we expect him to really help our interior scoring and rebounding."
Moses, who has gained 15 pounds and grown nearly two inches since enrolling at Genesis One (Mendenhall, Miss.) averaged 14.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 blocked shot per game last season. He originally attended Brooklyn Automotive High School.
Moses was also recruited by Middle Tennessee and Alcorn State.
