Athletics Announces Staff Restructuring

Duquesne University Director of Athletics Greg Amodio announced the following athletics staff changes effective Monday, October 16.

Phil Racicot, formerly Assistant Athletic Director for Student Services, has accepted the new position of Associate Athletic Director for Administration. In his new position, Racicot will supervise the sports medicine and strength and conditioning staffs as well as oversee several sports programs, special projects and other departmental strategic planning initiatives.

Racicot, 37, is in his 11th year as a member of the Department of Athletics staff. The Albany, N.Y. native currently serves as a member of NCAA CHAMPS/Lifeskills Advisory Team and also serves on the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics Board of Directors. Racicot has also served as a professionally trained facilitator for the NCAA National and Regional Leadership Conferences over the past five years.

Sherene Lemonias


Sherene Lemonias, formerly an Assistant Director for Student Services, has been named Assistant Athletic Director for Student Services. Lemonias, a four-year volleyball letterwinner for the Dukes from 1998-01, will also serve as the department's Senior Woman Administrator. The 27-year-old Toronto native, joined the Duquesne athletics staff as a graduate assistant in the fall of 2002.
