Two Duquesne University student-Athletes earned Atlantic 10 weekly laurels today, March 28, as freshman Erica Moody (Pittsburgh, Pa./Oakland Catholic) was named women's track Rookie of the Week and senior midfielder Ginger Flocco (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth-Whitemarsh) was tabbed the lacrosse Player of the Week.
Moody earns her second consecutive Rookie citation after setting two new Duquesne records at the NC State Raleigh Relays. She broke a five-year standing 400 meter dash record taking first in her heat with a time of 57.45 and helped set a new 4 x 400 meter relay mark running the lead-off leg on the squad which placed eighth overall with a time of 3:54.45.
The women's track team returns to action this Saturday competing in the Western PA Intercollegiate meet at Carnegie Mellon University

Flocco also receives her second A-10 Weekly award after leading the Dukes with seven points in their 17-3 victory over Vermont last week. Flocco nailed three goals on three shots and assisted on four scores. She posted her third game-winning goal this year as well and added two ground balls and caused turnovers. Flocco leads the Dukes with 21 goals and nine assists after their 19-2 win over Saint Mary's this afternoon.
Duquesne lacrosse is back in action this Friday hosting St. Bonaventure in the A-10 opener at 3:00 pm on Rooney Field.
