Amy Ruffolo Leads 4 Dukes At CMU Invitational

Pittsburgh, Pa. - Sophomore Amy Ruffolo (Wexford, Pa. / North Allegheny) led four Duquesne women's cross country runners with an 11th place finish Saturday at the Carnegie Mellon University Invitational. Her time in the 96-runner race was 24:05.18.

Sophomore Whitney Wallander (Pittsburgh, Pa./ Baldwin) finished in 38th place at 26:03.18 while junior Stephanie Sabol's (Minersville, Pa. / Pottsville Nativity BVM) 26:06.35 was good for 39th. Freshman Kaitlin Yasko (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Baldwin) took 45th with a mark of 26:19.72.

The Dukes were not team-scored since only four athletes competed at this event.

Duquesne next heads to University Park, Pa. for the Penn State National Open next Saturday, October 15, 2005, at 10:00 a.m.
