Duquesne University's Carrie Hucko (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) is the inaugural winner of the Atlantic 10 Sporting Award that will be given annually to a male and female member of an A-10 institution who exemplifies high athletic and academic standards as well a campus/community involvement, leadership, integrity and sporting conduct.
The Conference's Senior Women's Administrators select the award winners.
Hucko is a member of the Dukes' cross country and track & field programs. She is the Duquesne record holder in the indoor mile and 3,000 meters and the outdoor 3,000 meters. Hucko is also a member of the Dukes' record-setting indoor 4 x 800 meter relay and outdoor 4 x 1500 meter relay teams.
