South Bend, Ind. - Duquesne University's women's cross country team finished sixth among 19 teams at the 49th Annual Notre Dame Invitational on Friday afternoon at the Burke Memorial Golf Course.

Freshman Samantha Howard (Moon Township, Pa. / Moon) paced the Red and Blue with a time of 18:37, good for 11th place. Classmate Amy Ruffolo (Wexford, Pa. / North Allegheny) finished at 19:01, 33rd among the 154 athletes.

The Dukes next head to the Penn State National Open on Saturday, October 16th in State College, Pa.
