PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pat Atangana scored 13 points in the second half to lift Mount St. Mary's to a 77-63 victory over Duquesne on Saturday.
The Dukes (1-5) led 37-34 at halftime, but shot 11-for-28 (39.3 percent) from the field, including missing all 11 3-point attempts, in the second half on their way to a fourth consecutive loss.
The Red and Blue (3-3) led by as many as 14 points in the second half.
Duquesne trimmed the lead to 50-48 with 12:55 remaining, but Mount St. Mary's hit their free throws, shooting 18-for-25 (72 percent) in the second half to preserve the win.
Jamion Christian led Mount St. Mary's scorers with 20 points. Landy Thompson added 18 points, shooting 5-for-8 from 3-point range, while Charles Cook had 12 points.
Ron Dokes had a game-high 21 points for Duquesne. Jimmy Tricco had 14 points, including three 3-pointers, and Simplice Njoya added 11 points.
