Duquesne's Carrie Hucko took 17th overall out of 71 runners this afternoon in the Championship Race series at the 2002 ECAC women's cross country championships. She was the Dukes' only competitor.

Hucko posted her second-best season time crossing the line in 18:37.8 and was nearly four second faster than the 18th-place finisher.

She posted a stellar season this year for the Dukes finishing third at the Atlantic 10 Championships and 47th overall at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals.

The junior became just the third All-Atlantic 10 performer in Duquesne women's cross country history with her third place finish at the league championship.
