2015 @DUQFB Schedule Announced

2015 Schedule

Duquesne University today announced the release of its 2015 football schedule. The Dukes (6-6 overall in 2014, 2-4 Northeast Conference) will play six road games and will have five home contests.

The Dukes open the season on Sept. 5 as they welcome NAIA's Kentucky Christian (5-6, 2-4 Mid-South) to Rooney Field. The Red and Blue then hit the road for three straight contests as they travel to Bucknell (8-3, 4-2 Patriot) on Sept. 12, Dayton (8-3, 6-2 Pioneer) on Sept. 19 and Albany (7-5 , 3-5 CAA) on Sept. 26.

DU opens Northeast Conference play on Oct. 3 as it hosts Central Connecticut (3-5 overall, 1-5 NEC) before hosting Alderson Broaddus (7-4) on Oct. 10 for homecoming. Back to back road games follow as the team travels to Bryant (8-3 overall, 4-2 NEC) on Oct. 17, then heads cross town to Robert Morris (1-10, 1-5 NEC) on Oct. 24.

The Dukes then host Wagner (7-4, 5-1 NEC) on Halloween, then make their last road trip of the year, heading to Sacred Heart (9-3, 5-1 NEC) on Nov. 7. An off week on Nov. 14 precedes the regular season finale as DU hosts Saint Francis (5-6, 3-3 NEC).

The Dukes, under 11th-year head coach Jerry Schmitt, complete spring practice on Saturday, April 11 with the annual spring scrimmage slated for 4:45 p.m. on Rooney Field (the team will take the field at 4:00 p.m.).
